I was with my mom at her office where she worked at the bank. It was an upstairs office, with a window that looked down upon the tellers below. Right outside her door was the bank operator who had this old fashioned telephone switching station. I can’t remember if anyone was using it, or if it even worked, I just remember thinking how cool it was. The fact that someone would know what all those cords did, even at the age, I think I would have been ten, simply amazed me.
